দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের পর মানবসভ্যতার সামনে সবচেয়ে বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ হয়ে এসেছে নোভেল করোনাভাইরাস। হুমকির মুখে মানব জাতির অস্তিত্ব। দেশে দেশে চলছে লকডাউন, ঘরে বন্দি মানুষ। তবুও প্রতিদিনই বাড়ছে মৃত্যুর মিছিল। আক্রান্ত বাড়ছে প্রতি মিনিটে। এরই মধ্যে বিশ্বজুড়ে মারণ এই ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে প্রায় সাড়ে ১৬ লাখেরও বেশি মানুষ। মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা প্রায় লাখ ছুঁই ছুঁই। কার্যকর কোন ওষুধ নেই, নেই কোন প্রতিষেধক। এ যেন নিশ্চিত মৃত্যুর অপেক্ষায় বেঁচে থাকা। তবে গবেষকরা এবার দাবি করলেন, করোনাকে কাবু করার সবচেয়ে কার্যকরী অস্ত্র তৈরি করে ফেলেছেন। করোনা থেকে রক্ষা পেতে গবেষকরা নতুন ওষুধ আবিষ্কার করেছেন জাপানের বিজ্ঞানীরা। সুখবর হচ্ছে এটি এখন বাংলা‌দে‌শেও তৈ‌রি হ‌চ্ছে। জাপানের ফুজিফিল্ম তয়োমা ফার্মাসিউটিক্যালস লি. তৈরি করল ফ্যাভিপিরাভির 'অ্যাভিগান' নামে ট্যাবলেট। যা কি-না করোনাভাইরাসকে কার্যকরভাবে মেরে ফেলা সম্ভব। এরই মধ্যে অন্তত ডজনখানেক ওষুধ যেমন- ফ্যাভিপিরাভির, রেমডেসিভির, ইন্টারফেরন আলফা টুবি, রিবাভিরিন, ক্লোরোনকুইনিন, লোপিনাভির এবং আরবিডল কভিড-১৯ চিকিৎসার সারিতে জমা হয়েছে। সরাসরি নভেল করোনাভাইরাসের জন...
